Images from nature continually inspire me. Playing with the design elements of repetition and symmetry,  I challenged myself to use a favorite  image of mine – the dragonfly –  to create this piece.

Techniques: raw edge fused appliqué,  machine embellished and machine quilted with rayon threads on a home sewing machine
