Wendy Butler Berns
QUILT ARTIST
I am pushing myself to work more abstractly, testing ideas and learning along the way. This imagery began with a photo of Queen Anne’s Lace wildflower. The way the design has evolved, I feel as though I am peering through a microscope at the flower’s stamens. I branched out by playing more abstractly, then testing the use of a bit of paint and a few beads.
