The 9-patch on point is a fun process and the center of this quilt was started for a workshop as a sample of this technique. The center sat as a UFO for numerous years. The next time I worked on it, I added numerous borders using many fabrics with lots of visual texture. Working in a neutral palette and playing with value were all challenges as I played. It was finally finished and given to a special guy to celebrate his birthday and completing his specialty in Emergency Medicine.
Techniques: Quilt machine pieced in 1997- 1998, machine quilted on a home sewing machine in 2018
